Performing artistes from St. Vincent and the Grenadines and St. Lucia, will be offered an opportunity to showcase their musical talents, during Youth Fest 2013

Through a joint initiative between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and St. Lucia, performing artistes from both countries are being offered an opportunity to showcase their musical talents, during Youth Fest 2013.

Registration forms to allow participation in the event, can be collected from the local coordinating agency, St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association of Music Professionals at the Peace Memorial Hall.

Interested persons have until November 8th to return their registration forms and auditions is slated for November 16th at the Peace Memorial Hall.

The auditions will be held in two age categories, Teens 13-19 years, and Twenties 20-29 years performing in eight and more genres, namely Gospel, Dance Hall, Reggae, Soca, Cantonese, Hip Hop, R&B, RAP and others.

Each artiste is required to perform one set of three minutes maximum and the two top performers from each category will be selected for the Finals, which will be held in St. Lucia on December 22nd.

Ten finalists in each category will compete for the position Youth Star 2013, to win a cash prize of 10 thousand EC dollars.

An all exclusive boat trip from St. Vincent and the Grenadines to St. Lucia will also be hosted on December 22nd, with the MV GEM STAR departing Kingstown at 7am and arriving into Vieux Fort at 11pm.
