Close to two hundred individuals who were displaced by the December 2013 trough system remain in shelters on mainland St. Vincent

Executive Director of the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), Howie Prince provided an update on the recovery process at a Media Conference yesterday.

Mr. Prince said as persons return to some sense of normalcy they are seeing a steady decline in the number of persons at shelters.

Mr. Prince said over the next few days they will be trying to move persons out of the Emergency Shelters and into rented houses which will be paid for by the state.
