Chezley Scipio Urges The Ministry Of Agriculture To Place Farmers In Cooperatives

The President of the South Windward Action Producers Co-operative, Chezley Scipio has welcomed the move towards the establishment of more Farmers Co-operatives here.

Mr. Scipio spoke on the benefits to be derived from co-operatives, during his remarks at the launch of the Co-operative Farmers Market at Heritage Square this month.

He urged the Ministry of Agriculture to do more to ensure that Farmers come together to form more Co-operatives.
There are now eight functioning Farmers’ Co-operatives in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
