Parliament Is Scheduled To Resume Today After Being Postponed Due To The Tragic Bus Accident

The ceremonial opening of the Fifth Session of the Ninth Parliament takes place later today, to be followed by the presentation of the 2015 National Budget by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves

The session was originally scheduled for yesterday but was postponed, in light of the tragic accident in Owia.

The Prime Minister said in Parliament in December that this year’s National Budget amounts to some 971.3 million EC dollars.

He said the Budget is to be financed by current revenue of 532.3 million dollars and capital revenue of 439 million dollars.
