The Adult and Continuing Education Division in the Ministry of Education will collaborate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture to host a Batik Training Programme this month.
The training programme is targeting potential entrepreneurs who practice the art of Batik production and have the capability to train others.
Handicraft Officer in the Adult and Continuing Education Division of the Ministry of Education, Julian Pollard says the training is being offered as part of a wider effort to diversify the local craft sector.
Mr. Pollard said the training will be facilitated by experts from Indonesia and Venezuela.
