Football Updates

* Police Masters defeated Sion Hill Masters 2-nil in one of two opening matches played on Tuesday in the National Lotteries Authority St. Vincent and the Grenadines Over-35 Masters Football Championship at Victoria Park.

* Defending champions, South Leeward Masters beat Vintage Gold Masters 3-nil.

* The other scheduled match between Calliaqua Masters and SESCO Masters has been re-scheduled.

The Championship will continue this evening also at Victoria Park. Matches are being played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at Victoria Park.

* GECCU Awesome Calliaqua FC are through to the Final of the Hairoun Stubbs Football Championship following their 3-nil win over Volcanoes FC on Tuesday at the Stubbs Park Playing Field

Today at 4:30 pm, Star Blocks of Brighton will clash with Hairoun Groove Street Ballers in the second-final also at the Stubbs Playing Field.

* Yesterday’s scheduled First Division Group (A) match between Kingstown Bible College (KBC) and Cato’s Heavy Equipment Strike Force in the COMSPORT/KPMG/ Hairoun Arnos Vale Football League at Arnos Vale (2) Playing Field was postponed because of rain. There will be a change in tomorrow’s fixtures.

* Yesterday’s Second Round Knockout match in the Senior Division of the Digicel/Aeropost/St. Vincent Brewery Breakaway Firms Invitational Football Championships between BMC Combined Couriers and CK Greaves at the Grammar School Playing Field was also postponed because of a waterlogged Field.

At 4:30 pm today, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police will meet Coreas Distribution in another Second Round Knockout match in the Senior Division also at the Grammar School Playing Field.
