This Country’s Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Luke Browne is expected to address Caribbean youth leaders, at a two-day conference, scheduled to commence in Trinidad and Tobago today.

The Youths are meeting to discuss their role in the national and regional response to combatting HIV and AIDS, as they work towards formulating and agreeing on a framework for regional youth advocacy.

The Pan Caribbean Partnership against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP) is hosting the forum in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago today and tomorrow.

Dr. Astell Collins, PANCAP Youth Advisor, was quoted as saying that the objective of the meeting is to better equip young people through their peers – when it comes to the issue of sexual and reproductive health, HIV and AIDS.

Today’s conference is expected to become an annual feature by PANCAP over the next three years.

The program also includes a youth advocacy training – which should start in September.
