Zero Tolerance For Homosexuality Among Scout Leaders

The President of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Scout Association Morrison Baisden has warned that the local Movement will be adopting a zero tolerance approach to homosexuality among its leaders.

Mr. Baisden made the point during A News Conference hosted by the Association last week.

He said the Association is making significant progress in its ongoing membership drive, with emphasis being placed on increasing the membership at the Cub Scout level, and he disclosed that to date there are vibrant Packs throughout the country.

But he noted that the Movement had been rocked by negative publicity, relating to homosexuality among its Scout Leaders.

Mr. Baisden said the local Movement has taken steps to deal with the problem of homosexuality among its leaders.
