Chairman of the National Surveillance Committee in the Ministry of Health Dr. Rosmond Adams said the spread of Chikungunya will be difficult to control if Vincentians do not support the Ministry’s efforts to contain the disease

Speaking on NBC’s Face to Face programme this morning, Dr. Adams said there are now over than seven hundred confirmed cases of the Chikungunya Viral Disease in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

He said the Ministry is continuing efforts contain the outbreak, and he outlined a number of areas where officials have intensified measures to destroy the Aedes Aegypti Mosquito which spreads the disease.
