Calliaqua Football Opening

The 2014 Hairoun Beer Calliaqua Football League got underway on Saturday with seven of the 12 started in full on Saturday 1st November, 2014 in front of a large appreciate crowd with speeches from SVFF President Venold Coombs, Representing the Minister of Sports Mr. Nelson Hillocks and other officials.

In the first competitive match of the season Maxx Strikers defeated the favourites Choppins United 3-1 with goals coming from the boot of Leon Peters (2) and Roddie Thompson (1) for Maxx Strikers and Desmond Samuel (1) for Choppins United.

On Sunday saw one game Glenside Ball Blazers demolishing newcomers Axis Network Inc Choppins a Youths 7-2 Infront of a large appreciative crowd.

On Monday 3rd November, 2014 @ 4:30 PM Another newcomer Diamond United with come up against the more experience Brighton United.

Sticking to the rules of the competition all teams that didn’t march pass will be penalize by losing 3 Pts and 3 goals.
