The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Fire Department is urging all workplaces, and schools to conduct regular fire drills to ensure that employees and students understand proper safety procedures in the event of a fire.

Inspector Curtis Clarke during a discussion on NBC Radio’s “On the Beat” programme last night said that the Fire department conducts drills at regular intervals to ensure their readiness to fight fires whenever they may occur. He however stated that it is important for the public to also conduct fire drills.
