The 10th Annual Beach Cleanup Campaign is being staged in North Leeward, on Saturday September 24th, as part of efforts to observe International Coastal Clean-up Day, which will be celebrated on Saturday 17th September.
The beach cleanup will be hosted by the Richmond Vale Academy, which will join with community, sports and cultural groups in Richmond.
Teacher at the institution, with responsibility for the event, Mahsa Boorboor, is inviting the public to participate in the activity and said “Whatever takes place in the forest, rivers and beaches, affects us all, and each person should strive to play a part in keeping the environment clean.”
