Officials in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Sustainable Development and Information Technology will outline the activities to be undertaken under the recently-launched Enhanced Country Poverty Assessment (CPA) Project at a Media Briefing today.
The Media Briefing will be conducted by Director of Planning Laura Anthony-Browne and Chief Statistician, Gatlin Roberts.
They will address the various components of the Project, including the Survey of Living Conditions-Household Budget Survey, Participatory Poverty Assessment, Institutional Analysis, Macro Socio-Economic Analysis, and Poverty and Vulnerability Mapping.
The Media Briefing takes at the Central Planning Conference Room in the Administrative Center in Kingstown, from ten this morning.
The Country Poverty Assessment is being undertaken to assess the current conditions affecting the welfare of Vincentians and to recommend policies, strategies, action programs and projects that would reduce the extent of poverty.
