International Women’s Day is being observed today under the theme “Inspiring Change”.
Here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Department of Gender Affairs held a March and Rally in Kingstown last week Friday, to observe the day.
In his Address, Minister of Gender Affairs Frederick Stephenson applauded women of St. Vincent and the Grenadines who have made significant contributions to national development and have been agents of change in their communities.
He also commended groups and organizations that have played a role in highlighting the cause of women here.
