The Sion Hill In-Concert Community Group will stage a Cultural Event on Friday – National Heroes Day.
The event will be staged at the Sion Hill Intersection, featuring Cultural Icons in the Community.
Performances will come from Calypsonians Lexi, Sulle, Pat Ralph and Imitator, as well as Poetry by Blazer Williams and David Darkie Williams.
Patrons will also be treated to performances from the Sion Hill Steel Orchestra; X-Pan; Junior Sutherland and his Vikings Band and Resistance Heart beat Drummers.
Organizers say it will be an all-day event, but the Cultural performances will begin from 5pm under the theme “Bringing Back Community Spirit”.
Brief remarks are expected to be delivered by Parliamentary Representative for the area Arnhim Eustace; Minister of Culture Cecil McKie and Senator Luke Browne
