The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment has expressed concern about the negative impact of kidney-related illnesses on the productive sector in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The concern was raised by Health Educator Harvey Farrell during the Face to Face programme aired on NBC Radio this morning.
It comes against the backdrop of the observance of World Kidney Day (WKD), which was observed globally on March 13th, under the theme “Kidneys Age Just Like You”.
Mr. Farrell said local statistics show that the section of the populous, aged 20 to 50 years, are more affected by kidney diseases.
