The Ministry of National Mobilization is currently overseeing work at the Liberty Lodge Boys Training Center to ensure that this facility is brought up to international standards.
National Coordinator of the Juvenile Justice Reform project, Merissa Finch-Burke said their aim is to make the institution the central rehabilitative centre for boys in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Mrs. Finch-Burke said by April they expect to have this work completed so they can reopen the facility by May.
Mrs. Finch-Burke said they are also working to develop an operations manual for the Liberty Lodge Boys Training Center when it commences work under the Juvenile Justice Reform project.
