The Ministry of Health is making progress in its move to develop a national policy document to address the issue of Chronic Non Communicable Diseases (CNCD’S) or Lifestyle Diseases.
That’s according to the Ministry’s Focal Point for Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases, Dr. Rosmond Adams.
Dr. Adams said Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases account for most of the deaths nation-wide.
He said work to develop the National Policy document for CNCD’s is in the initial stages and it is progressing smoothly.
Dr. Adams said the Ministry of Health is also moving to establish a Commission to manage CNCD’s.
