St. Vincent and the Grenadines joins the global community in observing International Girls’ in ICT Day.
The Girls in ICT initiative is a global effort to raise awareness on empowering and encouraging girls and young women to consider studies and careers in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
It is backed by member states of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Assistant Director of the Information Technology Services Division at the Ministry of Telecommunications, Jacqueline Creese, said a number of activities are being held locally, specifically targeting the schools.
