The Ministry of Agriculture has received a donation of fifteen thousand banana plantlets compliments the government of Israel.
Speaking at a ceremony this morning to official hand over Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar said the ministry has benefitted in the banana industry over the years by working with the government of Israel.
The minister expressed gratitude for the donation and said the distribution is expected to begin in the next two months.
And Ambassador of the state of Israel Amiram Magid expressed delight to be a part of the delivery ceremony and said the distribution is a testimony to the close relationship between Israel and the Caribbean.
