The local Chamber of Industry and Commerce has been given the assurance that the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines remains committed to maintaining its close association with the organization, to develop the nation’s business sector.
The assurance came from Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves last Friday night, during a Cocktail event at the Cruise Ship Terminal, hosted by the Chamber in collaboration with Premier Distributors (SVG) LTD.
The Prime Minister also commended the Chamber for the work it has been doing over the years.
Meanwhile, Executive Director of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Tony Regisford said the organization is renewing itself to ensure that it addresses the needs of its members in today’s business environment.
He said the number of businesses which are members of the chamber has been decreasing and the organization will be initiating programs to boost membership.
