An official launch was held at the Botanic Gardens today, to officially unveil activities to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the site.
The ceremony was also held to mark the launch of a website for the facility: www.botanicalgardens.gov.vc.
Speaking at the event, held in the Curator’s House at the Gardens; Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture, Cecil Mckie, said, all Vincentians should be proud of the Botanic Gardens, the oldest in the region.
Minister Mckie said the site features aspects of this country’s National Heritage and History.
Meanwhile Curator at the Botanic Gardens, Gordon Shallow said the authorities will continue to partner with stakeholders to develop the site. He also outlined the activities planned for the 250 anniversary celebrations
