Preparations are being made for the start of construction on four bridges which were damaged during the floods of December 2013.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves announced at a News Conference this morning that an advance team of Engineers from Ecuador arrived in the state yesterday to conduct preparatory work for the construction of the bridges.
Dr. Gonsalves said the assistance being provided is in keeping with a commitment from the Government of Ecuador to assist with the rebuilding effort.
Dr. Gonsalves said the total assistance package from Ecuador is valued at some 11.3 million EC dollars.
