This year’s CIBC Walk for the Cure event in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is set to take place this Saturday October 4th.

A release from CIBC here says it’s all part of the Annual Walk for the Cure initiative, spearheaded by parent company, CIBC and the Caribbean Breast Cancer Foundation.
The event is also being supported by the three-thousand strong employee base of CIBC FirstCaribbean.

The release says here in the region, CIBC FirstCaribbean is engaging the attention of all stakeholders in the fight against Cancer, with the staging of its annual signature event, Walk for the Cure.
The volunteer fund raising event is dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, health education and advocacy programmes.

The regional institution is hosting the event for the third consecutive year, and so far close to 150-thousand US-dollars has been raised across the region for early detection and general education programmes.

Here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, this year’s event will commence a the Bank’s premises on Halifax Street, travelling up to the Seventh

Day Adventist Church, turning right down on to Bay Street, to Randy’s Wholesale onwards to Edinboro and up to Fort Charlotte, then returning to the Bank.
