The event, will be on Friday October 17th, and is being held for the sixth consecutive year, it brings together VINLEC Retirees and family members, as well as VINLEC employees for a day of recreational activities.

This year, the event will take the form of a Luncheon at the Paradise Beach Hotel. In an effort to encourage healthy living, the participants will be offered blood pressure and blood sugar checks.

In addition, former General Manager at VINLEC, Ormiston Ken Boyea, will address the retirees on the topic “Enjoying, Staying Relevant and Finding Contentment during your Golden Years.”

VINLEC established the Retiree Appreciation Program as a demonstration of the Company’s appreciation for the retirees who have contributed to the development of the Company and the country, by extension.

The program also provides retirees with opportunities to interact at numerous other activities organized by the Company including Family Fun Day and Awards Ceremony.

The previous outings were held at Rawacou, Bequia, Black Point and Dark View. The retirees have also visited numerous Power Stations and enjoyed site seeing around the country.
