The Minister of Health Wellness and the Environment, Clayton Burgin has again made it clear that the Chikungunya Viral disease is spread only by an infected aedes egypti mosquito.
He reemphasized this point during the recent sitting of the House of Assembly as he noted that efforts are ongoing the Ministry to contain the outbreak of the disease here.
Minister Burgin said they continue to sensitize the public about the Chikungunya Viral disease as they continue to strengthen their public outreach campaign.
He also urged the public to support the Ministry’s efforts to eliminate the mosquito breeding sites.
