A challenge has been thrown out for Local History Teachers to take a proactive approach to teaching, to ensure that students have a greater appreciation of the History of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This from Principal of the St. Vincent Grammar School and Historian, Curtis King, while speaking at the 2014 Local History Expo, which was staged at the National Public Library this month.

Various aspects of local history were displayed at the expo, which was staged under the theme “Look How Far We’ve Come…Don’t Forget your History; Know your Destiny!”

Mr. King urged History teachers not to be limited to any individual text in their classroom teaching.
Mr. King said there is much to learn about the Vincentian history.
