Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said that while the Government continues in invest in transportation for the nation’s school children, more will be done in this regard.
He made this statement during his address at the recent Annual Schools Independence Rally which was held at the Victoria Park.
The Prime Minister said it has reported that many children often hang around at the Bus Stop at the Girls’ high School and this should not happen.
Prime Minister Gonsalves said he is aware that some buses may be late when there are cruise ships docked at the terminal.
He said the Government continues to provide incentives to the operators of public transportation to ensure that the school children continue to be transported and this is one incentive by his administration to ensure their success at all levels.
