SVG Bar Association Will Host Series Of Activities To Mark Law Week From Today

The Association says it has crafted an interesting series of events and activities to also celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the formation of the OECS Bar Association.

According to a release from the Association the events planned for the week include the 4th meeting of the OECS Bar Council, set to take place on Saturday December 6th

Delegates from Grenada, St. Lucia, Dominica, Antigua, St. Kitts/Nevis, Anguilla and Montserrat are expected to be here for the meeting

Other activities planned include: A Prayer Breakfast for Lawyers and their families and friends today; as well as a presentation by Lawyer Parnel Campbell QC, on his Law And You Television programme tonight. Mr. Campbell will speak on the topic: The Role of Lawyers and the Bar Association in Society.

During the week, there will also be radio and television programmes, as well as a pro bono day in all Courts and participating Chambers, on Wednesday December 3rd There will also be School visits by members of the Bar Association.

And following the meeting of the OECS Bar Council this Saturday December 6th, there will be a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the French Verandah Restaurant, where Lawyer Parnel Campbell QC will be honoured and Lawyer Douglas Williams will celebrate his 50th anniversary in the profession.
