Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Authority, Glen Beache, said the third quarter of 2014 has been a disappointing period for the local tourism sector, despite a marked increase in the yachting sector.
Mr. Beache provided an update on the sector during a news conference this morning.
He said the decline in these key sectors could be attributed to a number of factors including recent changes to LIAT’s flight schedule to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Mr. Beache said the Tourism Authority will continue its vigorous marketing efforts as it seeks to improve visitor arrivals.
