The Executive Director of the National Insurance Services (NIS), Mr. Reginald Thomas, is appealing to all contributors to work with them in order to ensure a smooth working and reliable system.
In an interview with NBC, Mr. Thomas said that the cooperation of all contributors will aid in cutting down the waiting period for payout of benefits.
He said, that the NIS seeks to establish a social security and protection culture, where people understand the importance of contributing to the NIS.
Thomas added that about 85 percent of people in this country don’t have a second pension or protection system.
