The Democratic Republican Party (DRP) says it will be officially announcing to Vincentians by the beginning of next week exactly how many candidates it will be fielding to contest the December 9th 2015 general elections.
Speaking with NBC News yesterday, leader of the DRP Annesia Baptiste says her party will be ready to contest the general elections next month; and will be providing all the necessary information to the public by the start of the next week.
The leader of the DRP also renewed its call for political debates in St. Vincent and the Grenadines within the next few weeks of campaigning.
Annesia Baptiste says there is a need to lift the quality of political discussions and debates here, as Vincentians prepare to go to the polls on December 9th. 2015.
Mrs. Baptiste adds that there is also a need for an improved approach to political competition in the country.
In addition, Mrs. Baptiste says Vincentians can also expect heightened political activity by the DRP over the next few weeks leading up to the general elections.
