The Distinguished Graduate Award for the Secondary School Bible Quiz 2016 has been awarded to Tray Archibald, a student of the West St. George Secondary School.
On Monday, St. Clair Jimmy Prince, Minister of Education, National Reconciliation and Ecclesiastical Affairs presented the award.
Minister Prince addressed the student body and encouraged them to take the spiritual aspect of their lives more seriously.
He emphasized the importance of punctuality, discipline and the need to aspire to higher levels of achievement and he commended the Secondary School Bible Quiz organizers for the work they are doing in this aspect of youth development.
The Distinguished Graduate Award, which has been sponsored by Jehann Jack since its inception in 2011, is not strictly an academic award but also honours students for their active participation in the Quiz.
