Former West Indies captain, Sir Richie Richardson, the late Hotelier, Gordon “Butch” Stewart of Sandals Resorts International, and cricket Journalist/Commentator, Vinode Mamchan were inducted into USA’s Cricket Hall of Fame’s 40th Induction Ceremony at Boca Raton, USA last Saturday night.

The 59-year old Sir Richie played 86 Test matches for the West Indies and scored 5,949 runs. He was unable to attend the function and would be presented with his credentials at a later date.

The owner of Sandals Resorts, Gordon “Butch” Stewart who died last year, was the owner of the Sandals Resorts International currently a major sponsor of Cricket West Indies. Stewart played a big role in assisting the West Indies team over the years and was a passionate supporter of cricket.

Print journalist and commentator, Mamchan has covered West Indies cricket tours around the World including may ICC Cricket World Cups.
