Vincentian Basketball coach, Vasha Adams has been selected to pursue the International Coaching Apprenticeship in Basketball Scholarship Programme (ICAB) now in progress at the University of Delaware in the United States.

The Programme is funded by the International Olympic Solidarity through the St Vincent and the Grenadines National Olympic Committee. Adams was selected by the International Basketball Association instructors from among hundreds of coaches around the World.

The ICAB Programme aims at providing national level coaches or people responsible for sport development in their country with the opportunity to enrich their basketball knowledge, skills and proficiencies.

Adams holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science from West Texas A & M University.

The ICAB Scholarship Programme consists of 4 modules. A 4-month only preparation programme with 2 sessions each month; a 2-day workshop in Newark, the USA; a 3-week apprenticeship with a NCAA Club and a 3-day final workshop.

Adams left home for the USA on Monday and is scheduled to return on 6th next month.
