An 87-year-old man is the latest person to succumb to Covid 19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines
The Ministry of Health Wellness, and the Environment says the patient, who had underlying health conditions tested positive for COVID-19 on February 16th, and was admitted to the Isolation Ward at the Milton at Memorial Hospital.
The Ministry says, the patient died yesterday Sunday February 20th of COVID-19 pneumonia. He was unvaccinated. His death brings the death toll from COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to 105.
Meanwhile, two new PCR cases were reported from 23 samples and one new Rapid Antigen Test was reported on Sunday February 20.
Four recoveries were noted over the reporting period, and 64 cases are now active. Four persons are hospitalized and all four are unvaccinated.
8,297 cases of Covid 19 and 6,568 recoveries have so far been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
