Local Credit Unions are continuing to Amalgamate as they seek to strengthen the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Credit Union Movement.

The latest Credit Unions to Amalgamate are the South Rivers Cooperative Credit Union, the Unity Labour Party Cooperative Credit Union (ULPCCU), the Georgetown Mt. Coke Methodist Circuit Cooperative Credit Union (GMCMCCU) and the General Employees Cooperative Credit Union (GECCU).

Senior Marketing Officer at GECCU, Danny –Lee Francis said members of the other Credit Unions which were involved in the amalgamation exercise are now members of GECCU and therefore they are entitled to all rights and benefits enjoyed by the membership of GECCU.
