Chief Education Officer, Lou-Ann Gilchrist says work is continuing at schools to have the children who were affected by the disaster, return to some sense of normality.

Meanwhile Chief Education Officer, Lou-Ann Gilchrist says work is continuing at schools to have the children who were affected by the disaster, return to some sense of normality.

Miss Gilchrist said schools have been reopened and are fully operational.

She noted that they have been working along with the Ministry of National Mobilization to replace the lost school uniforms and other material for the affected children.

Miss Gilchrist said the have been offering counselling services to affected children and they are continuing to collect the data on the number of affected students and teachers.

She said the Ministry of Education will also appreciate the assistance of more counsellors.
