Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves will lead a delegation to attend the Second Meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) next week.

The CELAC meeting which takes place in Havana, Cuba, from January 27th to the 29th will address a number of regional issues.

The delegation also includes the Prime Minister’s wife Eloise Gonsalves; Foreign Affairs Minister Camillo Gonsalves; Senator Jomo Thomas; this country’s Ambassador to Cuba Dexter Rose and Director of the API St. Clair Jimmy Prince.

CELAC is a Regional bloc of 33 Latin American and Caribbean states, which was formed at the Unity Summit held in Mexico in February 2010.

The Organization aims to unite all of the Latin American and Caribbean States, in order to strengthen the Political, Social and Cultural integration of the region, and stimulate economic growth.
