The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is continuing to implement several reform measures to preserve the long-term financial sustainability of the National Insurance Services, NIS.

Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said in his Budget Address that the NIS has been severely impacted by the global financial crisis.

He said the financial challenges pose great risks to future of the National Insurance Services.

The Prime Minister outlined the major reform measures that are being implemented in order to address the financial viability of the National Insurance Services.

Meanwhile … Prime Minister Gonsalves said Government is continuing with its plan to reform the Public Service Pension System.
