St. Vincent and the Grenadines is continuing to receive regional assistance in its national recovery efforts in the wake of the December 2013 Trough System.

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says the Government of Mexico will make available a 500-thousand US dollar grant for this country.

He said a commitment has also been given by the Government of Ecuador to provide assistance following discussions on the sidelines of the Community of Latin America and Caribbean States Summit, which was held in Cuba last week.
