CARICOM Chairman, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves will chair the 25th Inter-sessional Meeting of its Conference of Heads of Government here today and tomorrow.
Heads of Government will focus especially on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Human Resource Development and sustainable development of the Region’s economies during their two-day Summit.
The agenda items include the Economic Situation facing Member States and the Region; Reform Process in CARICOM; Climate Change; the Issue of Reparations for Native Genocide and Slavery and Border issues.
The meeting today and tomorrow takes place at the Buccament Bay Resort beginning at 9am.
The opening ceremony will hear addresses from Prime Minister Gonsalves; Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Kamla Persaud Bissessar and CARICOM Secretary General Irwin LaRocque.
The ceremony will be aired live on NBC Radio.
