West Indies won the toss and bat first beat Pakistan by 84 runs today in their final Group (2) Day/Night match to advance to the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s World Twenty/20 Cricket Tournament in Bangladesh.

Scores: West Indies 166 for 6 off 20-overs; Dwayne Bravo 46, Darren Sammy 42, Lindl Simmons 31, Marlon Samuels 20, Pakistan 82 off 17.5-overs; Mohammed Hafeez 19, Sohaib Maqsood 18; Samuel Badree 3 for 10, Sunil Narine 3 for 17, Krishmar Santokie 2 for 9, Andre Russell 2 for 15.

West Indies will meet Sri Lanka in the first semi-final on Thursday, while India and South Africa will clash in the 2nd semi-final on Friday.

Earlier, Australia beat host Bangladesh by 7 wickets, to register their only win at the Men’s World Twenty/20 Cricket Tournament in Murpir Bangladesh today as both teams were eliminated.

The scores: Bangladesh 153 for 5 off 20-overs; Shakib Al Hasan 66, Captain Mushfiqur Rahim 47; Nathan Coulter-Nile 2 for 17, Australia 158 for 3 off 17.3-overs; Aaron Finch 71, David Warner 48; Al-Amin Hossain 2 for 30.

Bangladesh finished the Tournament without a win.
