The young Vincentian Tennis Players, twin sisters, Gabrielle and Amarlia Benn as well as Anastasia White are having mixed fortunes in the Trinidad and Tobago leg of the International Tennis Federation’s Junior Tournament.
Gabrielle Benn, who emerged Under-14 Champion in the Barbados leg of the Tournament last week, defeated Trinidadian, Victoria Koylass 6-2, 6-LOVE in the Under-14 Girls Singles yesterday and Amarlia Benn beat another Trinidadian, Anya King 6-1, 6-1 to reach the semi-finals.
The Benn twin had won the doubles crown in Barbados, but they were stunned 6-3, 6-4 by Trinidadian Emma Davis and St. Lucia Meggan Williams in the semi-finals yesterday.
The other Vincentian in the Tournament, Anastasia White lost her quarter-final match yesterday 7-6, 6-3 to Trinidadian Emma Davis.
