The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Transformation, Forestry, Fisheries and Industry will be hosting a workshop for fishermen in this country.
The two- day workshop will be focused on fishing aggregating Devices (FADs) development. The workshop targeted at highlighting (FADs) will take place on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th April beginning at 9:00 am until 3:00 am.
Meantime, the Ministry of Fisheries will also be hosting a similar meeting which will elaborate on FADs.
The meeting will touch base with several topics such as an update on this country’s FAD program, Dominica’s FAD use and profitability analysis and testing lures as a sustainable fishing option.
The meeting which will be held on April 29th at the fisheries conference room, will allow an open discussion about FAD Issues and recommendations for managing FAD resources. It begins at 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm.
