The central planning division is in the process of hosting the first accountability workshop for the St. Vincent chapter of the Caribbean Growth Forum CGF initiative.
Speaking at this morning’s opening ceremony Director of Planning Laura Anthony Browne during her opening remarks highlighted the reasons for hosting an accountability workshop.
Mrs. Browne said a number of projects and programs take place in the public sector with no one giving accountability for these projects.
And Minister of Tourism Cecil Mckie making remarks on behalf of National Authorities said the Caribbean growth forum seeks to identify polices and initivies aimed at creating jobs.
Minister Mckie said the CGF initiative is not only about identifying what need to be done but to give an account of the current stage in order for growth and development in the country.
