
Veteran Vincentian Female Athlete Genita Lewis won three Gold Medals in the 65-69 age category in the 13th Annual Senior Women’s Barbados Athletics Games at the National Stadium in Bridgetown earlier this month.
Lewis broke the Shot Put record with a throw of 9.41-metres to beat the old record of 8.91-metres. She also broke the Javalin record with a throw of 21.02-metres to eclipse the old record 19.67-metres.
Lewis also won Gold in the Discuss with a distance of 23.64-metres, but failed to break that record which she broke last year.
Over-300 Athletes from Trinidad and Tobago, United States, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Barbados participated at the Games.
Lewis was the lone Vincentian competitor.
