The Mayreau Regatta 2014 proved to be a major success, as Volunteer Nancy Saul- Demers said this year’s regatta was well attended.
Speaking to NBC News, Ms. Saul- Demers said they were thrilled with the support they received from neigbouring islands and also received positive feedback from visitors.
She said while the regattas of previous year’s has a tradition of one of the event being interrupted with rain, this year’s event proceeded smoothly as the weather cooperated.
However, when asked about plans for the 2015 regatta, she said that the avenue was open for the introduction of new aspects for the event.
