The Ministry of Education continued with its activities to observe Child Month with a March and Rally today.
The March & Rally is an annual event which brings together children of all ages, as well as important stakeholders in the development and welfare of children.
Senior Education Officer for Early Childhood Care and Education Gwenette Cambridge said the march will begin at heritage square and end at the Victoria Park, where the Rally will be held.
Mrs. Cambridge stressed that much focus must be placed on the nation’s youths so that they can be well-rounded individuals.
This year’s March & Rally is one of several activities aimed at bringing attention to the importance of the 2014 Child Month theme: “Tolerance today for a violence-free world tomorrow” with the slogan “Let Peace Begin With Me”
