The spotlight will be on a number of local artistes tonight as the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association of music professionals SVG AMP hosts its first awards ceremony tonight at the Peace Memorial Hall.
Organizers of the event are promising to put on a show similar to the Grammy’s and Oscars where they will award outstanding artistes for their performances in year 2013.
Speaking at a news briefing held to update the media on the event Secretary of the St. Vincent and the Grenadine Association of Music Professionals SVG AMP Joffre Venner said he is very pleased with the initiative as it will motivate artistes to improve their standard of music compositions and performances.
